The ESC of Lake Erie West accepts employment applications year-round. All vacant positions for the ESC of Lake Erie West and State Support Team Region 1 are posted on this web site. However, substitute teacher positions and classroom aides are hired through a different process (see below).
To view current job postings click the "View Open Positions" link below. Postings are updated whenever a vacancy is available. We encourage you to bookmark our site and check in periodically. When you see a job for which you want to be considered, click the "apply" link for that job. Please note that even if you have an application on file with us, you must still apply online for each position in which you are interested.
How to Apply
All applicants must complete an online application. Paper applications are not accepted. Please do not mail, e-mail, fax, or drop off an application, resume, transcripts, letters of recommendation or other support documents unless specifically requested to do so. Additional information to support your application (e.g. cover letters, certificate/license, transcripts, resume, letters of recommendation) can be uploaded to your online application by following the directions in the application process.
Current college students should note we understand that you may be unable to transmit copies of teaching licenses and transcripts at this time. Lack of these documents will not prevent your application from being considered. You should add these items to your application, via upload, as soon as you receive them. Please do not ask your college/university to mail credentials directly to us.
You do not need to telephone our office to verify your application. You will be contacted if you are chosen for an interview.
Completing an Online Application
Click on the "Online Application Process" link below. Read the directions carefully. You will need an e-mail address and password to start an account. You do not have to complete your entire application at once. If you click "save as draft" you will have up to 25 days to complete and submit the application. Please be sure to include e-mail addresses for all references when available. When it is complete, click "finish and submit application." Your application will remain active for one year. You will be notified by e-mail when your application is about to expire so that you can reactivate it if you wish.
Updating and Editing an Application
In order to ensure your application is as accurate as possible, we encourage you to periodically update your information. Don't forget to update address, phone and e-mail information for yourself and your references if they change. You may modify a submitted application at any time to add, change or delete information. Simply select the "Online Application Process" link below.
