Since 1979, the ESC of Lake Erie West has provided services through the Auxiliary Services Program to students attending nonpublic schools. State funds are allocated per school based on the October ADM and administered by the public school district. The program funding allows counselors, intervention specialists, nurses, psychologists, remedial specialists, and speech pathologists from the ESC of Lake Erie West to work directly with students while supervisors and bookkeepers support the overall program in each school.

Currently, a highly qualified staff of 79 members serves students in 25 nonpublic schools across eleven districts (Anthony Wayne, Ottawa Hills, Springfield, Washington Local, Maumee, Oregon, Perrysburg, Rossford, Sylvania) in three counties (Lucas, Wood, Fulton). Several staff members have received recognition and been awarded grants.
